John is an Editorial Assistant within the user support and training team. He provides 2nd line support to users of the EdWeb CMS as well as advice and help to the wider web community. John delivers training in the use of EdWeb and Google Analytics.

We had a packed agenda at this month’s WPC session with presentations about EdWeb Group Administrators, two new content types for EdWeb, a report from Google Analytics training, the results of the recent EdWeb feature prioritisation survey and a guide to applying EdGEL to your web apps and blogs.

Web Publishing Community session – 4 December 2014

At this month’s Web Publishers Community session we had a busy line-up. Duncan MacGruer gave us an update on the EdWeb project and introduced us to the EdWeb Migration Handbook, which is now available on the support wiki. Neil Allison explained the idea of applying ‘Agile’ principles to usability testing. In the more technical second half Arthur Wilson explained how he created Drupal content by importing from a spreadsheet.

Web Publishing Community session – August 2014

At this month’s Web Publishing Community session Angie Lamb (IS Web Champion and Lead Analyst ) gave an interesting presentation on how she and the IS web management team had gone about tidying up and streamlining the Information Services website using website and call management analytics. Angie gave us a quick introduction to the methods she had used and some insights from what she found.
