A user-focused lunchtime meet up

Join us to learn about impromptu, informal “guerrilla” user research and discuss your work with colleagues at our first lunchtime meet-up for staff interested in improving services and experiences. We’ll be in Argyle House on Wednesday 18 October, 12:30 til 2.

Come along, bring your lunch. We’ll supply drinks and a few snacks.

This is a great way to learn a little from an experience UX Consultant, and help us build a community of practice within the University.

Agenda for 18 October

12:30 – Welcome

12:40 – Seminar: “Let the guerrilla loose” The value of impromptu, informal user engagement (AKA guerrilla research)

UX Consultant Marty Dunlop joins us, making the case for why we should just get out of the office and engage with our users. Don’t let time, budget or responsibility get in the way of a better understanding of your users. (This session was recently presented at the UX Cambridge conference – read full talk synopsis)

13:10 – Discussion agenda set by the group (Chair – Neil Allison)

Talk about guerrilla research or anything else that’s important to you. The agenda will be created using the Lean Coffee approach. (What’s Lean Coffee?)

13:50 – Close
