Usability testing showcase – new dates
We are running extra sessions of our showcase of the Usability Testing Service so even more colleagues to learn about the value of direct user engagement by taking part in a real session.
Upcoming dates look at the current student experience of IT help self service (14 June) and the prospective student experience using the Degree Finder (30 June).
To meet demand for our promotional sessions, and continue to spread the word, we’ve got two further sessions in the coming weeks.
14 June: IT self service experiences with current students
We’re collaborating with the Help Services team in Information Services to review web pages that help students to solve basic IT problems for themselves. The insight we get from these sessions will help the team improve instructions and navigation of web pages which will ultimately cut down on unnecessary support queries. A better student experience, and lower support costs for Information Services – win win!
30 June: Degree finder experiences with prospective students
We’re collaborating with the Digital Team in Communications and Marketing to review how prospective students interact with the University’s Degree Finder in the process of reviewing potential programmes of study. Are we providing the right information, at the right level of detail, at the right time?

What attendees of the last session said
The last session we ran looked at the EdWeb CMS editor experience of new functionality. We had over 30 colleagues come along and take part, and the feedback was excellent.
…another great session from the UWP team! Really valued the chance to learn about how to run a usability session through a very practical example of taking part in one…
